  1. The focus of the Business and Enterprise Unit is planning for an event. The specific event is a musical concert. However, you can also consider other events as well.
  2. Let your teacher know if you would rather do a different event. (Examples: Comic Convention, Car Show, Sporting Event, Large Fundraising Charity Event, etc.)

  4. The unit is divided up into seven stages:
  • Internet Research
  • Persuasive Letter
  • Spreadsheet Budget
  • Poster Design
  • Social Media Advertising
  • Stage and Site 3D Design (Consider all workplace and general safety concerns a priority)
  • Website Creation

Overview

You will design a concert event. This event will involve 4 musical acts that are sure to draw large crowds and supported by your research of the billboard top 100 music charts at the time of design. You will write letters to the bands to persuade them to play at your event. You will design an adaptive spreadsheet for figuring out target crowd size and budget. You will make a poster, social media ads, and design the stage too. In the end, all of this hard work will be assembled into a website and shared with your teacher and peers.

Student Tracking Progress Form: If you did not get a Student Tracking Progress Form for this unit from the teacher, you can access and make a copy of one to your own Google Drive, by clicking here
It is a great way to remember where you left off each day and to make sure you do not forget to complete any of the assignments.

Please note: Much of the material for this unit is from New Brunswick's Broad Based Technology 10 website.
